MIR is the Russian word for “peace” and “world.” In Soviet times, “Miry Mir” (Peace to the World) was a common phrase. Now, MIR has a new meaning. It stands for the 12 million Muslims In Russia, most of whom have never understood that Jesus is their Messiah. These often overlooked Muslims who consider their homeland as inside Russia need true peace. They are split into approximately 40 different people groups in areas that are difficult to access and are some of the most undeveloped regions in Russia.
